Compact’s MetaDex is a metadata integration solution for IBM InfoSphere Metadata Workbench. MetaDex quickly and cost effectively extracts metadata from major ETL (extract, transform and load ) or ELT applications and integrates it with other metadata in the InfoSphere Metadata Workbench. This solution enables customers to use InfoSphere Metadata Workbench to manage enterprise wide metadata in one single repository, regardless of what ETL or ELT tool they use. Customers with diverse ETL and ELT tools (such as Informatica, DataStage, Teradata Bteq, Oracle, and other SQL scripts and ETL tools) can perform end to end data lineage across databases, ETL/ELT applications, and BI tools, enabling better data governance.
